Orlando Newborn Photos

Welcoming a newborn into the world is one of the most emotional and beautiful seasons in a family’s life. Those early days are filled with tiny details, sleepy snuggles, and moments that pass far too quickly. As a newborn photographer, it’s such an honor to step into that space and preserve those memories in a way that families can hold onto forever.

My approach to newborn photography blends two styles: gently posed images of your baby and natural lifestyle moments with your family. The posed portraits allow us to highlight all those sweet newborn features… the tiny fingers, soft eyelashes, and peaceful expressions. These images are simple, timeless, and focused completely on your little one.

But just as meaningful are the lifestyle moments. These are the images where your family interacts naturally… cuddling, rocking the baby in the nursery, or gathering together on the bed. These photographs tell the story of your growing family and capture the love and connection that fills your home during those first days.

One of my favorite parts of newborn sessions is photographing families in their own homes. Your home is where your story is unfolding, and it makes the session unique to you. The nursery you carefully prepared, the cozy chair where you rock your baby, the soft light coming through your windows… all of these become part your story. Using your home makes your gallery feel personal, meaningful and truly reflective of your family.

I also believe that newborn sessions should feel relaxed and enjoyable. Babies set the pace, and that’s exactly how it should be. We take breaks for feedings, diaper changes, and extra cuddles whenever they’re needed. Sometimes the most beautiful images happen in those in-between moments — a yawn, a stretch, or the way your baby curls up in your arms. I especially love the moments with baby and older brother or sister…

Newborn photography requires patience and flexibility. Every baby is different, and part of the magic is simply going with the flow and embracing whatever the session brings. Some babies love to sleep deeply, while others prefer to stay awake and observe the world around them. Both are perfect in their own way, and both create meaningful images.

These early days may feel like a blur when you’re living them but they are filled with moments worth remembering.

Being invited into a family’s home during such a special time is something I never take for granted. It’s truly a privilege to capture these memories and share in the sweetness of welcoming a new life into the world. After 16 years I can promise you it just never gets old!
