A Fresh 48 newborn session is a photography session that takes place within the first 48 hours after a baby’s birth, typically in the hospital or birthing center where the baby was delivered. These sessions aim to capture the early moments of a newborn’s life, including their first interactions with family members, their tiny features, and the emotions surrounding their arrival. Babies change so quickly in those first few days and a Fresh 48 session is the perfect way to capture that time.

I always love when parents have a special memento they want to include in a Fresh 48 session. A matching robe for mom and wrap for baby, a special name plate announcing the new additions name, or a special handmade blanket. And while I love to include these special items, for a Fresh 48 Session, you really don’t need to have anything extra! The point of these sessions are to capture this quick but amazing time in your life when you are just getting to know this new little miracle. I absolutely LOVE these sessions!

If you’re interested in scheduling a Fresh 48 newborn session, the best time to book is at the beginning or middle of your pregnancy. Because I am “on call” for these sessions (we all know babies have a mind of their own and due dates are just a suggestion) I am only able to take a limited number each month. We hate to turn anyone away so please don’t wait to book!
