Senior portraits were a lot different when I was graduating from high school. We won’t say how long ago that was, lol. Photography in general has come a really long way since then. Senior portraits are a way to commemorate this amazing time in your life as you move on from high school to whatever comes next for you. The future seems big and scary and awesome all at the same time! Whether your next step is college, tech school, a job, marriage, whatever it is…it’s your first step towards independence and adulthood. I remember how surreal it all felt. I couldn’t believe that chapter in my life was over. Graduating high school was my first really big accomplishment. I had big hopes and dreams for my future and was so excited about running towards them!

This session was so bitter sweet for me. I have known Samantha since she was a toddler and the fact that she’s graduating this year is making me feel all kinds of old. The morning of the session was chilly but beautiful and oh so fun! We had a great time exploring the nooks and crannies of downtown Sanford and ended up with a beautiful gallery!

We have big plans for our Senior Portrait Program and can’t wait till we get to roll it all out. 2020 was a doozy but for Michelle C Photo, the future looks bright!
