Baby snuggles, a perk every newborn photographer loves! Holding a new baby close to your heart, the feel of their silky soft hair on your face as you breath it all in. I like to refer to this as baby therapy. The emotions that sweep over you as you cuddle a fresh newborn baby can make all the sadness of the day fade away! It brings you right back to the days when you were holding your own babies close. There is nothing like it! As a newborn photographer, I don’t take this privilege lightly. Every time new parents hand over their precious babe to me I am incredibly honored to be able to be a small part of their journey as a family. To be able to capture these first days, and all the little details that change so quickly and are often hard to remember because of sleep exhaustion, and the fog that comes with it. The newborn days are fast and precious and part of what makes being a parent all worth it.
