You guys…MCP was accepted as a partner for One Tree Planted. Excited is a total understatement. One Tree Planted is a 501c3 non-profit based in Shelburne Vermont. Their mission is to plant trees across the world and we have the opportunity to help!

I am sure most of you know all the beauty that trees bring and how incredibly important they are. Driving through Central Florida it is not hard to see…Each and everyday a new subdivision or shopping plaza is taking the place where a forest once stood. The beautiful way those trees filter light (hello photo shoots ;)) and just the peace you can feel sitting under a tree on a lovely day….those trees are disappearing. This is something that has always been important to me and I am just so happy to have found an organization with this mission.

Did you know that 1 in 4 medicines are derived from plants and tress? Because I didn’t. Or that every two seconds 1 football tree worth of forest is cut down? Every two seconds! Or that the average US citizen uses 700 pounds of paper products each year. There are a million and one other ways that we can help and I vow to do my best at home to cut down my carbon footprint but what a beautiful mission to be able to add to our environment and the beauty of our everyday by planting trees! Every session that I shoot will be contributing to this cause by planting trees. Every single session. I look forward to keeping you updated with their missions and I hope that one day they make it down to Orlando and we can all get our hands dirty and help plant those trees!
